Vegetation of Slovenia database BIJH ZRC SAZU represents the database of vegetation plots in the Turboveg program ( https://www.synbiosys.alterra.nl/turboveg) has been compiled and constantly updated at the Biological Institute ZRC SAZU since 2003. It contains all vegetation plots from the territory of Slovenia since 1932, mostly compiled according to the standard Central European method (Braun-Blanquet), and covers all vegetation types from macrophytic aquatic communities to forest. The records come from published literature sources, gray literature (dissertations, studies, reports), and in some cases from unpublished census material. We use the database to store vegetation plots that are then used for vegetation classification and other macroecological analyzes of vegetation at local or continental scales. It currently contains over 23,000 vegetation plots.

The collection is also included in EVA (European Vegetation Archive) and S-Plot (worldwide collection of vegetation plots).
