Karst microbiological database
Karst microbiological database represents a collection of microbial isolates for internal use was created in 2017 at the Karst Research Institute ZRC SAZU, due to the need for more detailed phenotypic and genetic analysis of microbiota from karst environments. The digital database resulted from the collection contains information on isolates from different karst habitats, including the date of sample collection, location and identification information. The isolates are subject to basic phenotypic analysis upon recovery from the environment.
Some isolates undergo further phenotypic or genotypic characterisation. The dataset contains more than 500 records, with a majority of Escherichia coli isolates.
